A favorite of Strand audiences making his third appearance at the theater, Tony V. is also one of Boston's busiest and best comedians. In 2008 he reprised his role on the Showtime television series The Brotherhood, returned as host of WEEI's "Whiney Awards," and again booked to perform at the Wang Center as part of Boston's First Night celebration. He also landed a large role in the film World's Greatest Dad, opposite Robin Williams, which was scheduled to make its debut in January at the Sundance Film Festival. Among dozens of television and film appearances are spots on Late Night with Conan O'Brien, Seinfeld (his episode is part of the DVD collection), and performances on Comedy Central, HBO, A&E, MTV. One of his most memorable roles: He's the former "spokesgorilla" for American Tourister luggage.

This is the second appearance at The Strand for Tony Moschetto,
who returned to Boston late in the year after spending most of 2008 in
Los Angeles. With a uniquely hilarious comic perspective, Moschetto has
been a regular at clubs all over the country and as well as London and
Beijing, China. He's been featured on Comedy Central and The Playboy
Channel. One of the best summations of his style was summed up by a club
manager who told one of her friends, "He's funny … naughty funny."
He's also an award-winning filmmaker, with a short feature that was
screened at the AngelCiti Film Festival in Los Angeles, and another that
won the audience choice award at the 2004 Boston Comedy Festival.

| Juston McKinney, also making his second appearance at The Strand, is one of the busiest comedians in the country, working "A-list" clubs and touring with Bill Engvall and the "Blue Collar Comedy: The Next Generation" show -- which debuted on TBS in 2007 and is also available as a DVD. He also hosts the Sirius Satellite Radio show Juston McKinney -- Live from the Woods. He has appeared multiple times on The Tonight Show as well as Comedy Central, the CBS sitcom The King of Queens, NBC's Last Comic Standing, and A&E's 100 Centre Street. McKinney grew up in Portsmouth, NH and Kittery, Maine, where he became -- at age 19 -- a sheriff's deputy in York County. His experiences as a young cop patrolling 500 square miles in rural Maine became fodder for his comedy. The New York Daily News has called him “Hysterical” and the New York Times dubbed him, “Destined for stardom.” |
